چکیده

Purpose: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in end-of-life and critical patients, specifically cancer hospitals, often faces a dilemma between or non-resuscitation. This study will determine the predictors of failure for patients by expert agreement. Materials Methods: Predictor’s variables were collected from review 20 research journals based on who expired not successfully resuscitated. From journal, we found only 11 articles that mentioned involved death patients. To find out which occur most Indonesia, asked 5 palliative anesthesiologists as an center hospital Indonesia to choose predictor relate failure. measure agreement, use Fleiss–Kappa statistic method with SPSS software ver. 20. Results: Based agreement experts (k >0.8), eight 44 noted cardiopulmonary are expected namely: AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), CPR > 15′, non-recovery heart rate after >20 min, electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm asystole, early coma, hepatic insufficiency, non-shockable rhythm, pulseless electrical activity (PEA). Conclusions: Experts agree AIDS, >15′, ECG asystole PEA dominant

Combining Multiple Image Segmentations by Maximizing Expert Agreement

A common characteristic of collecting the ground truth for medical images is that multiple experts provide only partially coherent manual segmentations, and in some cases, with varying confidence. As the result, there is considerable spatial variation between the expert segmentations, and for training and testing, the “true” ground truth is estimated by disambiguating (combining) the provided s...

The importance of autopsy after failed delivery room resuscitation

This female infant was born at 34 weeks of gestation by spontaneous vaginal delivery following increasing polyhydramnios and premature rupture of membranes. At 22 weeks of gestation, a left-sided diaphragmatic hernia with minimal mediastinal shift and a favourable head-to-lung ratio had been diagnosed. After delivery, following a short period of bag-mask ventilation with apparently appropriate ...

Characteristics of cardiac arrest in cancer patients as a predictor of survival after cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

BACKGROUND Despite advances in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the education of its providers, survival remains dismal for cancer patients suffering in-hospital cardiac arrest. In an effort to determine if characteristics of cardiac arrest would represent a useful parameter for prognostication and recommendations regarding the suitability of ongoing resuscitation for various groups, this revi...

Fuzzy expert system in the prediction of neonatal resuscitation.

In view of the importance of anticipating the occurrence of critical situations in medicine, we propose the use of a fuzzy expert system to predict the need for advanced neonatal resuscitation efforts in the delivery room. This system relates the maternal medical, obstetric and neonatal characteristics to the clinical conditions of the newborn, providing a risk measurement of need of advanced n...

Agreement in interpersonal perception as a predictor of group performance.

The present work deals with quantifying group characteristics. Specifically, dyadic measures of interpersonal perceptions were used to forecast group performance. Forty-six groups of students, 24 of four and 22 of five people, were studied in a real educational assignment context and marks were gathered as an indicator of group performance. Our results show that dyadic measures of interpersonal...
